Membership Information

  • Membership dues are $30.00 annually for those with current RVT certification. Each RVT is required to have 5 hours of approved CE each year.
  • Graduate RVT will receive a complimentary one year membership upon successful completion of the state & national board exams. New RVT must attend 5 hours of CE during their first year to qualify as active members the following year.
  • Annual dues for student members currently enrolled in AVMA accredited veterinary technology programs are $15.00 (must have signature of veterinary technology program director).
  • Annual dues for an associate member (non-RVT currently working in the veterinary technology field are $15.00. Must attend 5 hours of CE each year.
  • Annual dues for affiliate members ( veterinarians, clinics, companies and professionals in related fields) are $60.00
  • All memberships are due on January 1st each year and are past due after January 31st each year. Members renewing after January 31st of any given year will need to add $10.00 for late fees.
  • Members of TARVT receive a newsletter, "Technically Speaking", every-other month. This newsletter contains information about current events in our field, as well as upcoming continuing education seminars, job opportunities and helpful articles.
  • Registration fees regarding CE that TARVT provides will be discounted for TARVT members. TARVT arranges several continuing education meetings throughout the year.

Did You Know?
The stuff (allergens) that people are allergic to in cats is a protein in cat saliva. When the cat grooms and the saliva dries it can become airborne. This protein is 1/3 the weight of ordinary house dust, so it can travel farther. You can find this allergen where cats have never been.
